Gliosis is a form of scarring in the central nervous system that occurs in response to injury, infection, inflammation, or trauma. It involves the proliferation of glial cells supportive cells in the brain and can be detected via imaging studies such as CT or MRI scans. It can be associated with long-term neurological disturbances, including motor deficits, unsteady gait, and coordination problems.
This case study discusses the homeopathic management of a 38-year-old male suffering from gait imbalance, choreiform movements of the thumb and toe, and a past history of untreated head trauma. A CT scan revealed gliosis, correlating with his neurological symptoms. Homeopathic treatment, at Dr Batra’s brought about steady and progressive improvement. The patient regained motor coordination, emotional stability, and the ability to resume his work duties effectively.
This paper demonstrates the holistic scope of homeopathy in managing chronic neurological sequelae through a miasmatic and constitutional approach.
