Introduction: Rehabilitation center of Boxing Federation of India, Patiala reported a rare case of a 28 years old boxer having complaint of pain at the right thumb, and was unable to extend the wrist and restricted movements at the elbow. The Boxer sustained injury to his right hand during Asian Games in September 2023, post that he was unable to play. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) investigation was done after 1 week in the month of October 2023 which showed partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament, later he was engaged in periodical rehabilitation program in the month of October.
Case report: Dry Needling and Electrical Muscle Stimulation for 28 years old boxer having pain at the right thumb, and difficulty in extending wrist with limited movements in elbow.
Conclusion: Our case highlights the fact that Dry Needling adjunct to stimulation in addition with isometric muscle function is effective to decrease pain and increase range of motion of the wrist extensors.
